Plaza de cibeles is one of the most iconic pieces of architecture in Madrid. It was designed by Ventura Rodriguez in 1777. It’s a fun tourist stop because there is a view up top of the whole city. It is perfect for pictures! (it wasn’t open at the time I was there). There’s small art exhibits and of course a overpriced bar with a view.
The interior is truly breathtaking! The incredible detail put in to every wall of the building.
