Last weekend was holiday in Madrid. It is the anniversary of Spain defeating the French. There were a lot of festivals and botellons (drinking in the street). So my friends and I wandered around the city checking out the sights. One place we found was Tabacalcera. It’s a little art school/ market. They had a big event with music and vendors. We explored the massive property with a underground labyrinth of street art. There was also huge patio where people were drinking and skateboarding. We could peak into artist’s workshops. So I snapped some great pictures. This is the place you can thank for the murals and street pieces covering the streets of Madrid.
Then we also visited Parque Oeste for a lovely stroll.
Spring is getting off to a beautiful start.
